One day was on the Ikea website looking for a new desk when I by accident clicked on a link that lead me to a video witch was an add for their textiles department. Figuring that I was all ready there, I watched the video. The video follows a husband and his wife and there baby for a day in the life in a world with bathrobes made from moss, couches made from rock or cactus, men's suits made from cardboard box, and the babies clothes made from brown, old leaves. Laying on my quilted bed spread and plush pillows, I imagined a world without textiles. A world without velvet, soft blankets, wool or polyester. That one add made me think of the little things that we take for granted, like the fact that although the color in your sheets may be fading, be happy that your not sleeping on a rock.
