Dear Dad
Dear Dad,
Even though you may not beleive it, I'm thankful for you. You are making a huge difference in my life and you probably don't even know it. It all started with you saying absolutely nothing: it meant something to me. When mom and i had a fight, i went upstairs and she vented and told you her side of the story. You merely listened. You came upstairs but didn't bother me, you knew i was cooling down. Dad, I'm really thankful to have such a great person in my life who knows when to give people space. It may seem like second nature to you but it really sends me a reality check. Someday, I want to be the amazing parent you already are.
Sincerely,
Grateful Daughter
