Finally back to a forgotten familiar place, an old deck that faces the mountians and my lush green yard. It is here, that my memories are replenished. It is here, that I notice how much I have changed over the years. I notice I have altered in my ways. I am saddened by by the fact that the days of playing "cowboys and indians" are over. Because now, I am more mature. A teenager trying to figure out who I am. I often miss the boy I used to be. Free! Playing in my yard, with no worries other than worrying about getting captured by the my cousins, who act as cowboys. But now, I must face bigger challenges in my life. And now I must worry about worlthess things. I really do miss, the boy I used to be!

This is a assighnment that my English teacher gave. It is a short story that is written in nature. We were supposed to focus on one thing with the story. I chose to write about how I have changed and the memories that came to mind while sitting on my porch.
