Why video games are amazing

You’re racing through the streets of L.A. at 170 miles per hour driving a Ford GT in an

illegal street race risking two hundred thousand dollars for first place. You are playing Midnight

Club; just one of many video games that are amazing to play. You can experience new worlds

while doing things you wouldn’t usually do. Many games can also be played with friends, either

in person or over the internet allowing you to game with people from around the world. The

most popular games systems are 360, PS3 and the PC.

Shooter games let you kill and die through other creatures. In Halo Reach, you are a

Spartan in the year 2552 defending the planet Reach from the Covenant. Another genre is

racing games. They can be very high adrenalin and fun without risking your life to win a race.

Test Drive Unlimited is an open world racing game on one of the islands of Hawaii where you

drive around racing for money and buying/selling cars and houses. Open World video games

are my favorite because you don’t have to follow a story line, you can go off and explore. In

Mercenaries 2 you’re a mercenary in Venezuela. Venezuelan Army, People's Liberation Army of

Venezuela, Allied Nations, Chinese, Universal Petroleum, or the pirates can hire you to do a job

for them that might include guarding a convoy, taking out a base, or assassinating a general.

Halo 3 is one of many games you can play online with your friends and people from all

around the world. Slayer is a game type in Halo 3 where you are teamed up with 3-5 players

and the first team to kill 50 players on the opposite team wins. Runescape is an example of a

massively multiplayer online role playing game where you can go on quests or train your skills.

Using a chat function you can talk to other players that can be from anywhere with an internet

connection. In Rainbow Six Vegas 2 you can play split screen terrorist hunt which is a game

mode were you and your friends kill terrorists from the same consol and the screen is just split

The three most popular game systems are the Xbox 360, Play Station 3, and the PC.

Xbox 360 is my favorite game system because it is the only system the full Halo Tetralogy can

be played on. The Play Station is also amazing because you can use the “Play Station move”

on it, which lets you play the game without using a default controller but a gun shaped one.

The PC is one of the oldest, most used game systems around. The PC is in my top 3 because

there is such a variety of games and you can mod those games to make them more amazing. In

Halo C.E. you can change what weapons do so you can have an assault rifle that shoots rockets

instead of bullets and a tank that can fly.

Where else can you fight a war against aliens as the planet starts to blow up with your

friends from the comfort of your living room? There are so many great games and a lot of

great systems to play them on. You never know what’s going to happen next. Maybe you will be

fighting off an alien army as they try to take over earth or fighting in World War Three as a U.S. Marine in the front lines.
