I spend my summer at my school working with kids with disabilities. These kids are about 7-9. They have either autism, down syndrome, non-verbal, behavioral issues or other issues. This class has about 10 or more students. there are 6 teachers, 2 of them are one-on-one teachers. A one-on-one teacher works with one kid only. I usually work with this class once a day, sometimes more. When I am in the class I work with someone on a puzzle or color. Sometimes I will help a teacher my making copies of a coloring sheet or I'm cutting out an project. On fridays I go with this class to our local swimming pool and swim with the kids. I love working with these kids because it makes me feel great. I am always looking forward for my summers so I can help out with the class some more. Its makes you feel so happy when you see those kids smile.
