When I am at school in my class, I realize that I am the only African American student in my class. In three of my classes on B-day I am the minority. Most of my classes are filled with mostly White, Hispanic, and other ethnicities. When I was playing basketball their were three African American girls on the team, but I was the darkest one. Although I was the minority, I was treated with respect like everyone else in class or on the team. During my 9th grade year, I was the only African American girl to get honor roll three times in a row. I have been the minority a number times and was never treated any different.
