I stared into the mirror, the light of the old light bulbs reflecting off its surface. The room was hot and sticky with hairspray and sweat. It hadn't yet hit me what was going to happen; it just felt like another show to me. The time had almost come. Walking through the broad hallways, I reached back stage. I saw them performing from there. I watched them; their fluid movements being performed out thoughtlessly. Realization then set in and my palm began to sweat on command. Suddenly, my mind went blank; what were the moves, what did the music sound like? I began to panic… But it was too late. My class had already begun to walk onstage. Hurrying on, my feet were moving before my mind could process. I scurried to my spot, awaiting the disaster that was going to happen. The lights flashed on. And in that split second before our first count begun, I knew everything was going to be alright.
