My mind is unbelievable, with its many corners, nooks, drawers, hidden spaces, all so dark and velvety and wonderful! I can always feel it whirring about, uncommonly fast, perceptive, sarcastic, dreaming, artistic. Perhaps one could think of it like a great theater, with thick velvet curtains, that shut when I am asleep. The stage is where all of my current thoughts are being played out, and backstage is where all my memories, anticipations, second thoughts and beliefs are. My body, of course, would then be the audience, responding to the actors-thoughts-that are playing the game of life up on the stage.
