Dear Journal,

Today was cinco de mayo. I woke up at 5 in the morning and expected it to be the best one since my class was responsible for organizing the event; however, it was unlike any of the past ones I had. It was the most disappointing one ever in the history of my cinco de mayo events.

The morning started like any other school day. It was normal and routine. I got up, brushed my hair, and prepared for what I thought would be the most memorable day of senior year, but it was a mistake to do so. I was only setting myself up for the devastating crumbling of what could have been. Cinco de mayo had started. The day was going exactly as planned and then it came crashing down.

The plays were not jovial enough to entertain and it was not funny. Profesora seemed as though she had the best expectations, and that made it worse.
