My heart

Everyone has a hero, even if they do not realize it. A hero doesn’t have to be someone who saves someone from danger; a hero can be someone or anything that has made an impact in your life for the good in any way. A hero can be a person, a feeling, or for most children, a fictional character. If you ask an average 5-year-old boy, he will probably say his hero is Superman. My Superman is my heart. It is my Superman because no matter what, it keeps on beating even when I think it can’t anymore. I believe my heart is strong. And it has made an impact on me. This is because even when I think I cannot get over something, my heart says I can.

People say they get “broken-hearts,” but for me, although I feel that way sometimes, it’s just your heart going through the feeling of hurt. Hurt isn’t the only feeling a heart can feel. Although you may feel hurt for one day, the next day you can feel love and compassion. The feelings that your heart lets you feel throughout your body can help you explore an entire new world. I believe it is amazing.

When I once thought I could not get through a tough time, my heart was still there and on steady beat. My heart won’t let me down even when I believe there is nothing left. It will keep opening new discoveries for me, and I for one think my heart is a true hero.
