Lessons in Life

As we grow up we learn things from our parents, whether we want to or not. It’s typical for your parents to annoy you in almost everything they do...but then you begin to realize how much we are like them.
My mother is a woman who is laid back but hard working and determined. My father is quiet, but is like an obnoxious clown in some situations. My mom is the caring and kind heart you need when you’re feeling down, but also the typical mom who continues to nag and nag...and nag. My dad always gives me a laugh or two and he has his quirky qualities that always seem to put a smile on my face. His personality is contagious.
As I grow up and observe these qualities of my parents, I also notice them in myself. Whether someone tells me that I’m a good listener or a hard worker, or if I realize it on my own through confidence I can always link my personality traits back to my parents.
