The definition of a hero can have a variety of different interpretations to many different people. But one truth prevails among heroes; they are always looking to help others.
Heroes can be anyone from a grandmother to a Saturday morning cartoon that a child watches. They are often admired for their abilities to put others well being before their own and almost always sacrifice their time, effort, and sometimes even lives for others. Some heroes fight evil villains to save the people of a town, some just help others when they are having a rough day. Despite the severity of the situation, a hero is always there to try and serve others. Mahatmas Gandhi is a modern-day hero. While he was not a hero in the sense of an action character, or superhero, Gandhi had wisdom, fortitude, and compassion. All these qualities are paramount when describing heroes. And like all heroes, Mahatmas Gandhi helped others.
