Little girl, little girl,
sitting in the sand.
Surrounded by damp prints,
made by your tiny hands.
I watch you very quietly,
you laugh and giggle with glee.
As you look out toward the lake,
that to you must be a sea.
I like to watch the water
as it meets your little toes.
Then see your curious face
as away the water goes.

How I wish the world could be,
to me just as grand.
