Out Of Reach MAG

By Anonymous

The warm, comforting glow of the sunset

The salty, cool spray of the sea

The lonely cry of the sea gulls

A distant voice calling to me.

I turn to see a shadowy figure

Of someone I can't recognize

Although there is something familiar

Within the depths of his clear, blue eyes.

Then, like a wave crashing over the shore

The memories pour into my head

I remember the soft moonlit nights

The tender words that he said.

I shiver as I recall how it came to an end

On that one tearful night in July

All it took was a twist of fate

No time for me to say good-bye.

The shock and the anger have faded with time,

But the empty space is always there.

He has gone to a place that is peaceful,

While I am left alone here.

His arms will never comfort me

Nor his advice guide the way

His laughter always made me smile,

I thought I heard it yesterday.

His image draws closer,

As I walk down this beach

All I want to do is hold him

But he's forever out of reach.
