It's The End Of The Road MAG
It's The End of the Road
by M. T., Weymouth, MA
O.K. It's Dave. I did it - I dumped Dave. I prayed to God he'd take it well and not yell at me and make me feel like dirt.
I dialed. It rang, and I said, "Hi, Dave. I have to talk to you. Remember how you said I was acting all different since you came back from vacation? Well you're right - I have been. I just didn't tell you why because I wasn't sure myself, but I just don't feel the same anymore. So I don't think it's fair to you or me to be going out anymore. So I think I should break it off. It's not you, I have nothing against you. So I just hope you're not mad. Maybe I'll see ya around."
All he said was, "Yup" and, "O.K."
And that was that ... it was over. n
