A Sadness Spared MAG

By Anonymous

   The halls today were still,

Laughter was a thing long forgotten.

An air of sadness hovered above all our heads,

And only broken sobs disturbed the heavy silence.

Wherever I looked were vacant stares and salty tears,

Even strangers took to weeping for the bitter tragedy.

A young man had been plucked from the grasp of life,

He had been unjustly taken and cruelly discarded.

His friends mourned deeply for their lost companion,

While loved ones moaned in pain and sorrow.

The cloud of misery was suffocating,

And only the loved one passed away was spared the sadness.
