Bird Escapees




?Hey! Where are the birds?? I exclaimed as I searched for the birds.


?They make a lot of noise!? said my mom, ?listen closely.?


Nothing? nothing? nothing? still nothing? giving up.


?I can?t hear anything! Let?s just look for them already!? I yelled. I had yelled so loudly that it echoed through every room and downstairs. I waited until my voice had stopped echoing. A few seconds later, we all heard small chirping noises from downstairs.


?What was that? Let?s check it out.? I said as we all tiptoed down the stairs and into the sub-basement (that?s what I call the bottom floor because we have no basement). We all looked around and saw bird feathers but no bird. All we saw was big balls of dust all over the place. Two particular balls of dust caught my eye. Suddenly, a foot came out. Then another came out. Then a beak popped. Then two eyes opened up. Then it ran\flew away!


?Those are the birds!? I yelled a little bit too loud. They both scampered away to hide.
