Awaiting the Results
I can remember this day, just as if it was yesterday. My mind was racing, running fast like the zebras in the wild trying to escape their predator hoping for the best, but expecting the worst, a million different thoughts going through my brain. “What if I didn’t get in?”, “What if I did?” “I hope I got accepted”. My hands were shaking as my mom passed me the big white envelope. Welcome was written in big, red, bold, letters on the front of the envelope. My hands started shaking again this time from excitement instead of fear and nervousness. As I tore open the envelope my eyes started to light up. I was accepted.
