Wondering what you want to call that little lady of yours once the big day rolls around? Well, you're in luck. I was browsing through some baby name literature in the book store and came up with what I consider to be the top 10 girl names in the world today.
1. Dorcas
2. Hesper
3. Clyte
4. Peony
5. Fulvia
6. Euphemia
7. Clothilda
8. Clematis
9. Amaryllis
10. Xantippe
Though all of these names are great, I must warn you that some of them aren't for everyone. If, for instance, you imagine your daughter to be the regal heiress of an ancient dynasty, it might be better to go with a Euphemia rather than Clyte. Or, if you are skeptical of gender roles themselves and want your daughter to be a brave, hard-nosed worker, you might prefer a name like Dorcas over, say, Clothilda. (On a more personal note, I think I'm going to name my daughter Clematis. Isn't that such a pretty name?)
