It is a Bahia dish commonly to be wrapped up in banana leaves. It is a type of candy that can also be called papos de anjo (angle throats).
You need:
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
6-ounce pack of chocolate bits
You do:
1. Stir the egg whites until stiff; then you fold the sugar, salt, coconut, vanilla and chocolate bits in with the egg whites.
2. Mix it really good and drop the globs of liquid carefully with your teaspoon into a greased pan.
Bake time:
10 minutes 325 degrees F
