It’s important to forgive other people, because you would want them to forgive you too. If you did something that you didn’t mean and apologized for what you did, then you wouldn’t want that person  to still be mad at you. You didn't mean to do what you did, so you would want them to accept your apology or at least take it into consideration that you were wrong and won't do it again.

 If you don't forgive, then what if something happens to that person and you don't talk to them, because you didn’t accept their apology? You would feel bad and be upset because you didn't talk to them, and talk about the problem. You didn’t ask what their reasoning was for doing it, or why they didn’t think about it before they did it.

Accepting an apology and or asking for forgiveness is always the best thing to do. You have to think, Do to others what you would have them unto you. Forgiving is the best thing to do so you won’t regret anything later on.
