Eye Candy

Unknown truth shoved into a mini skirt
Lies buried in six inch stilts
Accepting any attention, slightest flirt
Plunging V-necks, ignoring the guilt

A playful smack craves the eye,
Giggles mending the pain
Not the way to gain a guy
Childish gestures such a shame

Unaware of what hides in the mess
Such a disturbance to see
Walking the halls in a slinky black dress
Vibrant make-up, noisy jewelry

Stomping the toes that block the way
Commands shouted from in between red lips
Just a normal day
Hurting the innocent with a push from your hips

Everything desired wrapped up in one
But really you’re just an object they enjoy
Only wanted when the time calls for fun
Not true love but a sexy boy toy

My piece was based on a conversation made about how the girls were acting and dressing at my school and probably other schools.

This is a common image thrown into middle school girls heads. The unmodest teenage girl, walking around bossing around the younger students because it attracts boys. This poem is also absolutely right. When was the last time you saw someone act this way and get the guy? Most guys just find it funny and generally think they can get into a girls pants by flirting with her. In a way, society has learned to accept these girls because they keep unruley boys happy. But do you think they are honestly happy? Do you think they really want to be like that? There are girls who look up to these girls immensely, all the while, these girls are looking up to other, more modest girls because they dont have to act in such a manner to get a guys attention.

I thought this article was interesting. I looked at this story basically thinking, this article is talking about how some people just can’t love, and no matter how hard you want them to they might just always be the same. In this article she says “not true love but a sexy boy toy.” By that being said, he\she can never be trusted in a relationship. There is some people out there that you know it will never turn out to be more than a flirt, and nothing resulting in it.
