Alexis Denk’s poem, “Sisters” really reached out to me. I can relate to it because, I have a sister. I understand what she is saying. Alexis is trying to say, you are sisters, but it does not mean that you can’t be friends. With my sister I never thought of us as friends, only as siblings. I have one sister, but I have one friend that is like a sister to me. Alexis’ main point is that you are sisters for life, but you are friends because you chose to be. Overall this poem was really good and made me think more about my relation with my sister, and we are both sisters and friends.
