My High School

May 15, 2008

Feeling lost and scared
They look and they stare
And they don’t care
They want to know who that girl is

I walk in with my head down
The floor is like my best friend
It doesn’t talk back to me
And it doesn’t discriminate

Am I wearing the right clothes?
Do I look like a freak?
Am I a freak to them?
They look and they stare

Walking down the halls
Feeling smaller and smaller
Laughter in the air
Is it laughter about me?

Am I too fat?
Am I too thin?
I just think they have made me
Uncomfortable in my own skin

They look and stare
All around me, all day
No one to say “Hi”
Or to say “Bye”

They don’t know my name
I am filled with shame
This is my hell I go through everyday
Because of the looks and the stares
I feel down right scared
To be in my High School
