We take pride in the old U.S. of A.
And proclaim we’ve come so far.
But in a time of hope and choice
We revert to times of whip and rope.
’Cause I once heard
My wiser generations declare
I’m not voting for a n***er, no way.
Let’s talk about qualities and character,
Not skin color, the pecking order
’Cause it isn’t about race now.

And what’s with all this s**t –
An alleged plot by two young white supremacists
To go on a killing spree.

Seems nothing is ever going to change
Reverting to the days
Overflowing with white power
And separation,
But what about all men
Who are created equal?
Where does that fit in?

Don’t spend your time trying
To manipulate me
I’m too young
And too brand new.

i can't believe it still happens , i would never do something like this because we don't judge people because of their race.

Nice writing--it's so sad how much hate exists in the world, and not hate for a reason

This is great! I'm glad this didn't happen at my school with the presidential elections, but it's still a scary thought that this is still happening.
