Culture Clash

Where I'm from, we wear collared shirts and converse
And where you're from people would shudder at the thought.
Where I'm from, everyone is different
But where you're from there's only a few Asians.
Where I'm from, there are no lockers, or gym class, or a football team
But where you're from, you're the future captain of it.
Where I'm from, we have problems like self-harm and low self-esteem
Where you're from, they're putting in a new McDonald's.
Where I'm from, you're crazy if you like country music
But where you're from, you get shunned if you don't.
Where I'm from, you wouldn't fit in
And where you're from, I wouldn't.
But where I'm from, we accept our differences and move on
Where you're from … Well, I don't know.
But I do know,
Where I come from, it's lonely without you.
