“Heart Failure” written by Sarah Malik was truly beautiful. It talked about the relationship between two lovers and how he noticed every little thing about her; from her soft hair that was like Egyptian silk to the drool that would leave her mouth and onto his shirt. But then, something goes wrong and she demands a love that hurts her.

From there, the story takes a sharp turn, turning the soft ripples to sharp, towering waves of emotions in the reader. I loved the sudden change. It was just so unexpected and that’s what made this story so special. No one would want a love that hurts them. People dream and fantasize of a love as perfect as the one described in the story but that’s not what true love is. Sometimes, you just need a bit of heart failure to feel those feelings all over again.
