We Need Less Homework

I can relate to Aidan Robinson when he wrote about the homewrk issue in "We Need Less Homework". I agree with his opinion of how American students are given too much homework overall. Homework is something that "takes up too much of children's time and causes them unneeded stress". Teachers usually counter this argument with the idea that homework helps students learn the given material that they were taught in class. This is not entirely true because Finland gave up the idea of homework and has "improved student performance" by focusing on student and teacher interaction. I agree with how Finland is being smart about the whole homework issue and not just working to put students on pointless assignments. Thank you, Aidan for showing us how homework is not a required factor for school success.
