In the article, "Brooklyn Beginnings," I can relate so much with Kerishma because at times I feel the need to impress everyone around me or go out of my way to make my family proud of what I have accomplished and what I can accomplish. Although my parents don't [force me to become a doctor], they do however, presure me to go to college like if it's a need! Even though I want to be successful and go to college, I do not however, like the idea of my family pressuring me every step of the way or what decisions I'll make. I relate to her because I do not like the idea that my family has, that if you don't go to college, you're setting yourself up for failure.
