The writing titled “My Battle With Mental Illness,” written by Erin, talks about mental illness. In the article the writer says, “I couldn’t even register what he had done to me.” Erin talks about her struggles with having PTSD and depression. She writes, “...someone we all trusted could do something so horrible?” This article makes me wonder why others think it is necessary to think it would be okay to hurt others. Erin was in the hospital many times for attempt of suicide, and it was all because of what someone she trusted did to her. I don’t understand why people need to do these terrible things to others, especially when they know that it will affect them negatively. Erin had to do group therapy, counseling, and many other things to help her get better.
