The writing titled “The Butterfly Effect,” written by Ann, talks about how her sister’s addiction affected her. Her writing left me feeling shocked. I agree with her that the butterfly affect can hurt someone or some people. She states, “The butterfly affect started long before she had her first sip, but her flap of wings knocked me down.” Her sister may have not started it, but it affected her little sister the most. I cannot relate to this, and I do not have this issue in my life. I understand that she was hurt, angered, and scared. Feeling like a burden to her family Ann said, “The butterfly affect was indeed something I had learned: it is something I carry in my heart.” I do think that this article is written well.
