"Ode to Rice" by Kristof Cseh highly praises the staple food of multiple cultures around the world in a humorous, yet relatable, way. The poem tells of how underrated rice is, complimenting the starch to no end and reading like the speech of a loyal suporter kneeling in front of their God, Rice.

Being from one of the cultures mentioned above, I was stuck in a constant snicker the entire read. "Ode to Rice" really sounds like something I would say, and accompanied by the fantastic artwork above it, I couldn't help but do so. Indeed, as Cseh wrote, people may not enjoy eating rice, but we can't erase the fact that it's so important. It feeds millions everyday, working nonstop to do so. If rice was a person, I would gladly get on all fours to worship them, and I think everyone would also after reading this poem.
