The writing titles “Battle Cry of the Unjustly Accused” written by Celine L. left me feeling hurt about how some police officers judge people on their skin color.  I was inspired and wanted to learn more. This article surprised me, but I also was not that surprised by it because of all of the things you see on the news about innocent young African American teens/men being shot by police officers every day. Also reading this article made me think how bad some police officers treat African Americans like in the article it states, “the officer told us to get out of the car,” but they had done nothing wrong. It was because of his skin color. Another thing in the article is the girl said, “wait don’t you need a warrant?” which is true. They did need one, but even though the had done nothing wrong, the police officers still went through the car anyway. One thing is that at our school we have few African American teens, So I don’t really have any first hand experience with racism.
