"Your ancestors spent so much time in the rice fields that the sun made them squint permanently." Eric wrote this in his memoir, "Penciling in My Past." This so called "joke," isn't a joke. People shouldn't be picked on because of their race. Whether they are American, Native American, or even Asian, people should be treatly equally. Racist jokes should end because they can make poeple feel bad about themselves because of their race. When my friends make racist jokes, I tell them that it isn't funny and to stop saying things like that. Thank you Eric, for writing this memoir and informing us about people that make racist jokes and how they should stop.
