“Just Human” by Amanda S. didn't seem relatable at first, but it turned out to be a piece with so much meaning and emotion at the end. It tells about a friend, who as strong as he seems, is only human. He has emotions, although he does his best to hide it all the time.

I am a lot like that friend. I don't show that I'm upset or angry about anything, even though I am heartbroken in the inside. That's because I want to seem strong. I cover everything with a smile, but sometimes, I just can't do it. I'm only human after all, and I have emotions. If I'm sad, I feel sadness. I cry sometimes, but that doesn't make me any less strong. I'm still human. I have feelings. And sometimes, I just can't hold my tears back any longer.

But the fact that someone cries doesn't make them weak. How do we know what situation that person was put it for them to be that way? Why should we judge if they are strong or not?

We all cry. It's a sign of humanity.
