Sarah Y's. "Power to the Women" gives me hope. I'm sure it gives many other hope as well. She talks about the Women's March. She calls it a "historic day". I completely agree with her. I went to a march that day too. It gave me so much hope for the future, especially since the inauguration was the previous day. Sarah tells us that she was in awe of how many people marched. She tells us that what she saw left her awestruck.
I went to the Women's March with my mother. We were so excited to be a part of it. We held up signs that said "Be a Good Person" and "The Future is Femme!". The block was buzzing. You could tell that everyone was so excited to be a part of this. You could tell you were going to be part of history. Seeing all those people protesting...it filled my heart with a tremendous joy. I felt safe. I felt that I was going to be alright. I felt- and still feel- like we have each other's backs.
