We have all failed before, because no one is flawless. In the poem “Failure,” Tess F. acknowledges her imperfections, ones from  being unprepared to being unlike others. The idea of being wrong or different scares us because we do not enjoy being embarrassed or laughed at. Only when we know what failure is like though, can we truly experience success.

Failing is a way of setting goals for yourself and a way to grow as a human. Our past failures have shaped us and helped us to become better people, as will our future ones. If we were born perfect, there would be nothing to experience, nothing to learn. There won’t be moments for us to laugh at our prior mistakes nor will there be moments of joy for our accomplishments. So, I encourage you to fail because who know what you will learn?
