In the writing “The Last First Day” written by Julia L., she writes about he first day of her last year in high school. This article left me feeling bittersweet. I agree with “The Last First Day” because I feel that I may experience the same feelings as she did when it becomes my last first day of high school.  Julia makes a good point when she says, “The nervous butterflies in my stomach never went away, even after three years of first days.” I feel that this is a good representation of how I feel every year walking into school on the first day. I can also relate to her statement, “Familiar rituals-the first day of school pictures my mom insisted on taking.” My mom also always makes me take a picture before I leave for my first day of a new year of school. I loved the way that Julia expresses herself and left us with the words, “The first day of school is always as bittersweet as the last.”
