In the writing titled, “Escape” written by Madeline M., I felt like I was in the dark about the mystery that flows from within the poem. It left me feeling mystified and curious as to where the character disappeared. It’s almost like, as the horizon fades, or as the day turns to night, the character in the poem goes away with the night and comes back during the day. The poem gave me a sense of feeling that lets the reader know that its okay to adventure out of your comfort zone and its okay to explore foreign places and disappear into the world you’ve been transported to. When the character crouches on the rock plan, looking out over the horizon, it sends that rush of adventure and adrenaline feel into your memory and it lives there to give you the sense of curiosity as it comes and levels in your mind.
