Sarah Lynch writes a short poem describing society and how society is viewed. No matter what a person could do, society will always be there to judge that person, whether the judgement is positive and/or negative. When people want to know how to fit into this society "[we] seek reassurance from everyone else Television, Twitter..."

The one line that stood out to me the most was "Maybe if we all stopped trying to impress we could learn something about ourselves." In this generation, a person may always want to rely on somebody to tell them that they're perfect or they're amazing, when in fact, it may not be true. I know I'm guilty of doing this, and reading this poem made me realize that I should stop seeking for approval in other people. Instead, I should seek approval in myself, and learn to connect with my subconscious a little bit more.
