Life as I Know It

"Life as I Know It" by "Karen" is a piece about what divorce entitles, the fine print. It is about her specific experience with divorce. She talks about the schedules and confusion. She talks about the complexity of divorce and how she always has to remember the right things. Her parents divorce definitely scarred and depressed the author. I think she did an excellent job explaining what divorce means to her.

Although I can't relate to the piece, I believe that it was very well written. It was very raw and to the point. She explains so vivdly, what she's feeling. I also like the repitition between paragraphs. She explains that divorce is, "separation, schedules, repitition, packing, fighting, blaming, excuses, being the middleman, never winning, forgetting, then always remembering." She gives us the facts of divorce and her experience. It gives those of us a look into a victim of divorce's life. This piece was interesting and informative all at one.
