Going Online vs. Going Outside by Sandra Silva

The article 'Going Online vs. Going Outside' tries to explain why many of us prefer surfing the web rather than heading outside. Silva claims it's because we express dissatisfication from the fact that we are removed from nature and physical work. Because of this, we try to fulfill our desires of adventure and wonder through artificial objects. Silva doesn't appear to have a specific standing on this topic, although she suggests that we find a balance between indulging in nature and our complex, technological world.

I personally disagree with this piece. Silva seems to change courses throughout the article. She states:

"Humans also feel unfulfilled when removed from what we view as the most primitive of occupations-physical labor." A little later in the article, it's as if she changed her mind. She mentions:

"Going outdoors, spending time with family, doing a little yardwork? That would require too much planning and effort."

With her seeming to change her mind throughout the article, I as a reader am left confused, eventually leading to me disliking the article.
