The article “Why I Hated ‘The Fault in Our Stars’”  written by Emily G. puts a different point of view on the book/movie.  When my friends and I read the book we all thought is was the cute/sad love story about a girl with cancer and a guy that is just over cancer, along with the insane plot twist that happens.   We couldn’t wait to see the movie, and when we did we all cried at the end thinking it was so sad.

The point that Emily tries to get across is that the movie more or less glorifies the illness.  When a person gets cancer it takes a huge toll on the family.  Emily explains that after her dad had gotten brain cancer he needed help with whatever he did weather it was bathing, talking and thinking.  Most of the time when a person gests cancer they are too sick to do anything let alone travel to a different country.
