The article “Rules for NYC Tourists” by Cyd Sacks was a cleverly written, humorous piece that I enjoyed very much. The author used sarcasm throughout the article in her rules of tourism in New York City. One rule that was written is “Make sure to take those five perfect pictures that can only be captured in the middle of a very busy intersection.” These rules perfectly captured a day in the busy city and exactly what not do while visiting.
As a New Yorker, the piece is very relatable and expressed most of my emotions when  I am bombarded with loads of tourists. Cyd’s comical rules made me laugh at not only the accuracy of each situation but the reality of the harsh attitude we New Yorkers possess. This piece is definitely one that will keep me laughing all night long. But then again, I do live in the city that never sleeps.
