The Power of Postage
I, like Sassi in her pieece, "The Power of Postage", feel a sense of self-importance when I receive a package in the mail, even if it is just a book for school or another uninteresting necessity. There is definitely a Christmas-like feel to it all, though, and even the least exciting packages can brighten up my entire day.
Though I may not be a college student, and I am fortunate enough to have parents that can support my somewhat frequent online shopping, I do agree that even the tiniest, useless parcel does wonders to one's feeling of significance.
