Blissfully Unaware

The whole time a was reading this article, I’m thinking, “That’s so me. I would do that!” And it’s true. I would randomly stop on a sidewalk on my way home from school in the middle of winter and remove my backpack and coat just so that I could fix my sweater that had gotten a little bit twisted. And I would, when I see people in my path ahead, think, “Oh shoot. I have to walk by them? I hope they don’t say anything to me.” And I would also fall on the ice, feel like an idiot, pick myself up, and try to pretend it didn’t happen. That’s what she did. That’s what I’d do.
