"What Therapy Is Really Like" by "Serena" brings up an issue that goes far beyond teenagers being skeptic towards getting help for their depression, anxiety, and other mental problems. There definitely is an unnecessary stigma about therapy, and a lot of teens who desperately require help don't seek it because it's portrayed as something embarrassing or stupid.
And, more importantly, therapy is misrepresented in media as a troubled client spewing their life problems to an old man who couldn't care less about your well-being. However, there is absolutely nothing pathetic about seeing someone about your issues--if anything, it's smart. Getting the help you need instead of suffering in silence is what everybody should be comfortable doing.
