In the October, 2013 issue of Teen Ink, Dakota Lawson surprised me in the article “Bus Driver Roy O’ Dell.” The selection was a very good and heart warming story about a man who cared for his job and people around him. There isn’t too many people, it seems, like Roy O’ Dell. From what I gathered Roy was a very nice man and he seems that he would brighten everyone’s day up. It’s a very sad thing that Roy died and nobody can replace who he was. This kind of scenario could happen anywhere to the most unexpected people. It’s devastation when someone Dies like Roy because he was a giving man. I thought it was very neat that he gave everyone a two-dollar bill. That was a very generous and thoughtful thing and a neat way to be remembered. Nobody can replace a person like Roy as a bus driver. He seemed very grateful and responsible for the job he had. Even though it wasn’t the best job he still loved what he did.
