I had never seen an article like this on TeenInk. Balls Go Round by Karly Krasnow wasn't the best article in here, but it was certainly very unique. Most articles are poems, fictional stories, reviews, or memoirs. But this piece was simply two clever siblings who wished to share their cool idea of recycling sports balls. They discussed donating tennis balls to poor communities, therapy groups and animal shelters. These balls were discarded, but as a result of the program, put back into use.

My favorite aspect of this piece was that it included something for the reader to do before simply moving on to the next article. Karly listed their website and Facebook page, so that readers could potentially get in on the action. I wish that more articles published in TeenInk featured a call to action- something that the reader can do. All in all I was pleasantly surprised to find this article in our magazine and I most definitely agree with its message.
