I found Blake’s article quite ironic because he contradicts himself in the end. Also, I do not agree that most people believe real men do not cry, in fact, most people I ask completely disagree with this statement. Throughout Blake’s article he gives the reader the idea that the only reason real men cry are for times of extreme disparity; however, people could cry for happy/good reasons. Because of these discrepancies, Blake’s article, especially in the beginning, holds to strong to the idea of manliness being directly attached to weather or not someone cries. Manliness has absolutely nothing to do with weather or not someone cries; therefore, Blake’s article is based on a false statement.
